One Touch Switch is a UK-wide process that makes changing broadband or phone provider much simpler than it used to be. Whether you're switching to ScottishFibre or moving away, you only need to contact the new provider.
Switching to ScottishFibre from another provider
Place your order with us.
Tell us who your current provider is.
We'll request the switch on your behalf and contact your existing provider for you.
Within 1 working day, your current provider will send you a contract end notification. This tells you your switch date, any early termination charges (if you're still in contract), the loss of any bundled services (like email addresses or pay-TV), and any outstanding fees.
Check the notification carefully and let us know if you want to proceed.
On your switch date, we'll activate your new ScottishFibre service. There should be no, or very little, loss of service in between.
Switching away from ScottishFibre
If you're moving to a different provider, you only need to contact them. They'll request the switch on your behalf and we'll send you a contract end notification within 1 working day, explaining any final charges, your switch date, and what to expect.
You don't need to call us to cancel. Doing so could actually delay things or cause your service to be disconnected before your new provider is ready.
A few things to know
One Touch Switch covers residential broadband and home phone services.
If you're in a minimum contract term, you may be charged an early termination fee. The notification from your current provider will show exactly what this is.
If you have services that are bundled together (like broadband, phone, and TV from the same provider), switching just one may affect the others.
