Taking ScottishFibre with you to a new address

How to transfer your service to a new home or business, including notice periods and any charges.

Moving home? You can take your ScottishFibre service with you, as long as we cover your new address. Here's how it works.

Check availability first

Go to scottishfibre.com and pop in your new postcode in our availability checker. If we cover your new address, you'll be able to keep your existing package. If we don't, you'll need to switch to a different provider at the new place. We'll let you know either way.

Let us know as soon as you can

We recommend telling us at least 4 weeks before your move date, ideally as soon as you have a confirmed completion or move-in date. This gives us enough time to:

  • Arrange installation at the new address

  • Coordinate the disconnection at your old address

  • Avoid any gap in service

You can let us know by emailing [email protected] or calling 0800 054 8330.

What you'll need to tell us

  • Your current address and account number

  • Your new address (including postcode)

  • Your move-in date

  • Whether you want to keep your current package or change it

  • If you have Cloud Voice, whether you want to keep your phone number (this depends on the area code at your new address)

What it costs

For most house moves, there's no charge to transfer your service. If your new address needs a new installation or new equipment, we'll let you know if any one-off costs apply before going ahead.

Your contract

Moving home doesn't usually restart your contract, you just continue with whatever's left of your minimum term. If you'd like to upgrade or change packages while moving, that may extend your term, and we'll explain this clearly before you commit.

Still need help? To arrange your move, please contact us at [email protected] or call us on 0800 054 8330.
