Resetting your portal password

How to reset a forgotten password, and tips for choosing a strong new one.

If you've forgotten your password, or you'd like to change it for security reasons, you can reset it yourself in a few steps.

To reset a forgotten password

  1. Click "Forgot password?" below the login fields.

  2. Enter the email address linked to your account.

  3. Check your inbox for a password reset email. It should arrive within a few minutes.

  4. Click the link in the email and choose a new password.

  5. Use your new password to log in.

The reset link is valid for 24 hours. If it expires, just request a new one.

Choosing a strong password

We recommend a password that is:

  • At least 12 characters long

  • A mix of letters, numbers, and symbols

  • Not used on any other website

  • Not based on personal information that could be guessed, like your name, date of birth, or address

The simplest way to create a strong password is to use three random unconnected words, for example "CorrectHorseBattery", or to use a password manager to generate and store one for you.

To change a password you remember

  1. Log in to the portal as normal.

  2. Go to Account, then Security.

  3. Select "Change password".

  4. Enter your current password, then your new password twice.

  5. Save.

Not receiving the reset email?

Check your spam or junk folder first. If it's still not there:

  • Make sure you're using the email address linked to your account

  • Wait 10 minutes in case there's a delay

  • Try again with the same email address
